C10-18 Triglycerides: A mixture of three different fatty acids. Often used as a solvent, thickener or emulsifier to leave skin soft and supple.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: ingredient derived from coconut oil and glycerin, it has a light, transparent, odorless and non-greasy texture.
Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax: A vegetable wax derived from the leaves of the Brazilian tropical palm tree. Used to stabilize and add body to products, or to keep bar-type formulas solid.
Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax: A multi-functional complex of esters derived from the waxy structure of the leaves of Candelilla shrubs. Increases the residence time of natural emollients on the skin and helps provide a protective, moisture-resistant environment for the skin.
Hydrogenated Castor Oil – A modified version of castor oil that results in a solid waxy material. It has some unique moisturizing properties as it sits on top of the skin, preventing water from evaporating from the upper layers.
Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil: adds shine and is very effective in reducing moisture loss in the skin.
Tocopheryl Acetate: The most widely used version of pure vitamin E that helps fight free radical damage and promote skin regeneration to diminish the signs of aging. It also provides hydration and strengthens the skin's protective barrier.
Tocopherol: the most biologically active form of vitamin E. It has antioxidant and cell-protecting properties. It also maintains hydration in the stratum corneum of the skin. It is anti-inflammatory and reduces skin damage caused by UV radiation.
Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate: antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals and prevents signs of photoaging.
Benzyl Alcohol: prolongs the life of your product, also known as a preservative. It can be found naturally in fruits and teas, but can also be prepared synthetically.
Glyceryl Ricinoleate: acts as a lubricant on the skin surface and delays water loss from the skin by forming a protective barrier.
Mica: Mineral powder, which improves the feel of application on the skin. It also gives light-reflecting properties, improves adhesion to the skin and works as an anti-caking agent.
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter: moisturizer that regenerates and soothes. Protects from external factors (such as UV rays or wind) and is rich in antioxidants.
Cetyl Alcohol: Fatty (non-drying) alcohol that gives smoothness and a pleasant feel, helps thicken products and also helps water and oil to be absorbed.
Myristyl Myristate: Waxy emollient with a melting point close to skin temperature. It provides body and consistency to the formula and leaves a velvety feel.
